Starlight Gala Casino Night

5:29 PM

Jason and I had the opportunity to attend a gorgeous romantic Starlight Gala Charity event for a local hospital earlier this month. We just got back an anticipated picture before I wanted to make a post about it.
It was the first event that we have ever been to as a married couple of such exquisite nature! We bid on a few items and came home with two which unfortunately we did not get to use! One of them was a train ticket. I do not remember the other! I think we ended up giving them away as a gift to someone as we could not find the time in our schedules to go.

Jason's law firm sponsored a table at the event which is how we were invited to go. I have never worn a dress so fancy in my life. Having homeschooled, I didn't go to a prom or formal so this really was a first for me! We enjoyed a night of fine dining with a 4 course meal (never have had this before either!), live music, dancing, good company (his co-workers) and even was given a bottle of wine from his boss's huge collection she won that night. We still have that bottle!

I also met and was sitting next to a screenwriter, actor, and producer from L.A. who was in some notable shows and commercials! That was quite a highlight of our evening. Here are a few pictures of the place. We didn't get a lot because of the low lighting, but enough to say we were there. :)

Anywhere I go I am always fascinated by the architecture...

Table #15- Our table

 The menu for the evening:

Entree Course

"Die Another Filet": Seared Filet Medallion with Hazelnut Crusted Salmon, Orange Hollandaise Sauce, Yukon Golden Whipped Potatoes, Asparagus and baby carrots.
Paired with a Signature drink. Can you say delicious??

Dessert!

"Live and Let Pie": Parfait with Layers of Pie crust, apple pie filling, caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream (before I became dairy intolerant), and crumb topping.

And us dressed to the nines!

They had a local publication (recorder, newspaper, etc.) photographer taking pictures of the guests. We didn't realize it was for a publication and just thought we'd get our picture taken together so we waited in line! We still aren't sure where the published article on the event is! If I ever find it, I will link it here. :)

We had a night to remember!
