Memories in PA: A Night of Christmas Romance

5:16 PM

I am wanting to catch up on posts and have managed to find time amidst packing and cleaning to do it thanks to Fly Lady and a support group! My home right now is the cleanest and orderly it's been from the time we lived here. I am working on establishing some good habits to take through the rest of my existence. Good luck to me! lol

It's sad to be leaving PA. I really loved it here and wish I could have experienced more of it, but it's nice that we made some memories and did a few things while here. I also made a few friends that I have a feeling are going to be sticking around in the years to come.
I apologize ahead of time for all the Christmas posts that you will be seeing. December was the busiest most eventful time for us. We were gone like every weekend doing something social. I'm still waiting on pictures coming back from these events so it will be a little bit till I can get them. Hopefully before spring! :D

Earlier before Christmas last year (it's so weird saying that!), two of our friends, a married couple a little older than us, invited us to their annual romantic couples Christmas cocktail party. She encouraged us to write love letters to each other to put under the tree to be read later in the evening. It was such a relaxing and refreshing time for us. We munched on some yummy snack foods and desserts and I tried my first Gingerbread martini. Absolutely delish! I also tasted some new wines I have never tried. We stayed up so late just having fun and chatting. We also filled out questionnaires designed for us to rate activities we are each interested in and find what we would like to try together in the future. It was quite telling! There were a few things that we would like to try together but most of them we already are doing haha. I think with time and age though we both will be open and willing to branch out of our comfort zones more in those areas. Getting dressed up and meeting other couples for a fun night was priceless. We met a few people there we really clicked with and learned of some past connections from previous lives! Funny how God does that...

Their home is one of the most charming homes I have seen and she decorates so wonderfully!

A cool shot I managed to get in the mirror. :)

Reading each other's written love letters. Awwww

 Meeting new people!

Lovely Christian friendships made!

Our new couple friends we have connected with. (Hosts on the left)Overall a memorable night of Christmas romance. :)
