"Beat it! Beat it! I'm Not Going To Be Defeated!" :D

9:14 AM

I'm cranking these out this week! When the inspiration is there, go with it I tell myself. :D

I am sooo proud of myself. Yesterday I woke up feeling unproductive and down like usual, but I chose to do something different. I made myself get up and take a shower. Made myself go into the kitchen and eat breakfast. Made myself wash all the dishes and straighten up the kitchen. Made myself clean the living room and dining area from my niece being here and Jason being home, and made myself get outside once the gloominess cleared up!

At first I was just going to take a short walk down the street and stay in my neighborhood, but while cleaning I was reminded of my tax check and another check from a blog design job that I needed to take to the bank. The bank is about 2 miles away or so. Not bad. I dawned on my purple half strap backpack, some water, some books just in case I needed to sit and rest somewhere and walked all the way to the bank! I was feeling pretty good once I got there.

They had a tax day celebration table with chocolates and candies. I snatched a few milky way bars. :D Ate them all! I explored more, walking further till my legs started to burn a little. Then I turned back towards home. I wasn't quite ready to go home yet. The sun was shining and so I did the unthinkable. I ran! I found this beautiful spot down the street next door. A secluded road that pretty much dead ends to a steep drop.
I found my running road. It reminds me of some backroads back home close to my old house that I used to frequent. What's great is that it's a little hilly so I can run down and up and back down. It's not too strenuous but just enough to help me practice over the summer.

I also found a couple neighborhoods with some gorgeous purple trees! Spring+sunshine+purpley pink trees are the perfect combination. :)
On my way back home my legs were pretty tired and needed to stretch. I stopped at a bus station shelter and noticed millions of shiny clear jewel like substances on the ground. I looked closer and someone had busted the window out!
Now that's not nice....
sooo...
I called the police to report it!
A few parents with little kids came walking by to go to the playground area next door and one of them said it had been there for two and a half weeks! A nice officer came out, took some pictures, and thanked me for caring enough to report it. They are going to find out who is responsible for fixing it. A good day's work mate! :)

By the time I got back to the house I had walked/ran for 2 hours! My legs aren't even hurting today!
ACCOMPLISHMENT!

After some stretches, I called the Parish nurse to discuss my lab results with her. She informed me that the levels they said were a little high weren't exactly a little high. They were significantly high. One thing was my liver which we have to discuss with my doctor. Particularly though my cholesterol which most likely is hereditary and genetic because I don't eat a lot of fats at all!

After my appointment Friday we will know more about what's going on. In the meantime she is going to help me put together a meal plan with foods that naturally will lower my cholesterol and it looks like I will have to be making my food differently than what Jason likes because he isn't affected by anything. =O I also must keep up with daily exercise which I know will get better and easier as I keep forcing myself to do it even if I get unusually worn out after.

Lastly, the nurse said my thyroid levels were abit high. She suspects if we get further testing on that then we may come up with a culprit! Good to be on the same page as I feel very similarly. :)

Well I'm off to get some stuff done and get back outside. It's another gorgeous, sunnier day than yesterday and waaaaarrrmmm...Ahhh... Later I have a very exciting Skype date with my pregnant matron of honor who just announced it yesterday! Can't wait to see her!

This is going to be a positive day. :)
