He is Risen! Easter Sunday Joy

1:39 PM

We have had an eventful weekend, but I'll start with most recent and go backwards as I get some more pictures from our events. This Easter we have the blessing of hosting our niece for the week. She spent Easter Sunday with us as her first full day in our care.

We had a very early Sunday morning. Waking up at 5:45 and arriving to church by 8 so we could make it to Easter breakfast and second service.
We had a great time! The breakfast was lovely and our niece had a Resurrection Egg lesson in Sunday school followed by a fun egg hunt!

Getting a normal face from her is a challenge haha!

She made an Easter bag which I think she decorated beautifully! And collected so many eggs from the egg hunt.

It was a gorgeous morning for an egg hunt! She even made a friend. :)

I also bought some sunny Easter tulips that make me so happy! Such a happy yellow color. They were given to us at the end of the service to take home and plant. Since I don't have a place to plant, I'm trying to keep them alive as long as possible. They are such a breath of fresh air that I needed. Jason picked them out and picked the perfect color to brighten my mood. :)
And of course we got a sweet Easter picture in our Sunday best. :)
After church I went home and made some asparagus for a side dish and we drove out to our friends in the Marine corps' home for an Easter lunch/dinner. This isn't the best photo but I think for what we had to work with (handles of a cabinet and a cellphone camera), I think we managed it. You can even see the food we ate. It was so yum!

I hope you all had a blessed Easter like we did!
